Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of the furnace body with the simple device by constituting the cooling device of the blast furnace by the cast-iron-made staves on the furnace wall brick side and the copper-made cooling means on the shell side and providing the cooling pipeline independent from the staves to the cooling means. CONSTITUTION:Cast-iron-made staves 3 are installed between the furnace body shells 1 and blast wall refractory bricks 2 as the cooling device of a blast furnace, by contacting the copper-made cooling means 4 on the shell 1 side. Cooling pipes 6 are provided to the staves 3 and the cooling water outlet and inlet thereof are protruded to outside the furnace walls through the openings 7a, 8a provided to the cooling means 4 and shells 1. On the other hand, the cooling means 4 comprise providing cooling water channels 10 in water-jacket form to the copper-made body 9 of rectangular parallelopiped, fixing a discharge pipe 11 and water feed pipe 12 to the top and bottom thereof, and protruding the same to outside the furnace wall through the opening 8b of the shells 1. In this way, the cooling pipeline of the cooling means 4 and the cooling pipeline of the staves 3 are separated, whereby the water quality control and the cooling water volume control according to thermal load are made easy and the cooling effect of the furnace body is improved.
