Abstract

PURPOSE:In case of cooling gas containing wax from such as e.g. dewaxing furnace of molded ceramic parts, to liquefy a wax contained in a gas while preventing it from solidifying and sticking on the outer surface of cooling tube, by providing an inner tube in the gas cooling tube and making a heated medium flow in the inner tube, and controlling temp. of cooling medium flowed in intermediate space by heat transferred from inner tube. CONSTITUTION:Buffle plates 4 projected in the lateral direction from side walls faced each other are arranged with described interval in the vertical direction of the casing 1 in which gas flows in from the inlet 2 at the upper side of wall and flows out from the outlet 3 at the lower side wall of the casing 1. A gas cooling tube 6 is inserted into the center of the casing from the top to the lowest part of the casing by boring through the ceiling 1a of the casing and the baffle plates 4. The tube 6 has a closed end, and a inner tube 8 is inserted concentrically with the tube 6 but not touching its closed end. It is not necessary to preheat cooling water, and the outer surface of the cooling tube 6 is not cooled to excess because the temp. of the cooling water is controlled by heat exchanging between the inner tube and the outer tube.
