Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely prevent the generation of the shape defect, and to make the following process possible to be greatly abbreviated, by filling the bending part of the pipe blank with a hard block or the sand and the fine grains of the heat resisting sand, and by hot bending the bending part of the pipe blank.

CONSTITUTION: The packing material, that is the hard block or the sand and the fine grains of the heat resisting sand, is filled in the pipe blank P. As the hard block, the crushed stone of the single grading for use of the road work, the crusher- run or the crushed stone for use of the concrete work, etc., are used; as the sand, the river sand is used; and as the fine grains of the heat resisting sand, the zircon sand,etc., is used. Before or after the pipe blank P, being filled with the packing material, is set in the push bender B, the bending part C is heated by the gas burner, etc., and the hot bending work is applied by the push bender B. Hereupon, the pipe blank P is bridged across the bearing grooves 11, 11, of both support beds 1, 1, so as to place the longitudinal middle point of the bending part C just under the bending roll 2, and the bending roll 2 is brough down so as to make the pusher groove 21 to ride on the pipe blank P; hereby, the bending work is performed.
