Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide titled oil having increased flon resistance and lubricating properties, and suitable as a heat medium oil particularly for a flon turbine, by a method wherein a specified amount of a thiophosphite is blended with a polyhydric alcohol ester or a dibasic acid ester.
CONSTITUTION: 0.02W5wt% of a thiophosphite of formula I (wherein R1W3 are alkyl, phenyl) (e.g. the cpd of formula II or III) is blended with a polyhydric alcohol ester (e.g. an ester derived from an aliph. monocarboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol such as neopentyl glycol or trimethylol propane) or a dibasic acid ester (e.g. an ester derived from a monohydric alcohol and an aliph. dicarboxylic acid such as adipic acid or azelaic acid) to obtain titled oil.
