Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the fixing pressure in an initial state and improve fixing efficiency by providing fixing rollers by a pressure roller system, a recording body and means of heating the toner.
CONSTITUTION: If the fixing roller 2 of a pressure fixing device, a recording body 3 and the toner 4 are heated with a heating element 5, the fixing roller 2 expands. If the inter-shaft distance of the fixing rollers 2, 2' is assumed to be constant, the force acting between the two rollers 2, 2' increase and becomes larger than the initially set value; therefore, the initial value may be set low. In addition, the fixing efficiency may be made much higher because the paper 3 and toner 4 are held warmed. Here, a heat reflecting plate is shown by 6 and the felt impregnated with silicone oil etc. by 7.
