Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy and productivity of products by stroking a slide in a given time after stoppage at the upper dead point while an upper die is retained at the lower dead point by a fluid pressure cylinder in the mechanical press.
CONSTITUTION: This press is equipped with a fluid pressure cylinder 9 fixed on the slide 1, the upper die 3 vertically movable connected thereto, a lower die 5 provided on a bolster facing the upper die and knock-out means 17, 18, 19 and 20 for thrusting molded products. After material 22 is pressed, the upper die 3 is retained at the lower dead point with the fluid pressure cylinder 9 while the slide 1 rests at the upper dead point. With the molding under a fixed load, the slide is stroked after a given time. As the slide 1 goes up passing the dead point, the effect of an electromagnetic check valve 13 raises the upper die 3 and a die plate 2 with the slide until they stop at the upper dead point.
