Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an optimal air-fuel ratio, by forming an air-controlled fluid passage having a control valve in the manner that it faces the main nozzle of the carburetor, and thereby promoting mixing of fuel and air.
CONSTITUTION: In a venturi 20, there is opened a main nozzle 30 having a plurality of nozzle holes 21 at one end thereof and communicated at the other end to a float chamber F. Further, an air-controlled fluid passage 60 communicated at one end to an air cleaner A is formed to face the nozzle 30 for supplying air against fuel flow. In the fluid passage 60, there is provided a solenoid valve 60b, the opening and closing of which is controlled by a controller 83 to which output signals of an O2-sensor 82 provided in an exhaust pipe 81 are given. With such an arrangement, the amount of air to be supplied is feedback controlled in response to the air-fuel ration in the exhaust gas.
