Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the bundle fiber which is inconspicuous of the boundaries between the respective multifibers and is superior in image transmission characteristic by removing the jackets at both ends of the multifibers then bundling these.
CONSTITUTION: A multiplicity of strand fibers spun by a pipe rod method or double crucible method are packed in the glass pipe which is sealed at one end and these are stretched under vacuum, whereby the multifibers composed of an outside jacket 1 and a multiplicity of the strand fibers 2 on the inner side are formed. Next, the jackets 1 at the end of these multifibers are removed by elution treatment by chemicals or grinding, thence a plurality of the multifibers are bundled and are so disposed and secured that picture elements oppose, one to one, in positions, at their both ends, whereby the bundle fiber is obtained.
