Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently mass produce the steel-cored aluminum trolley wire, by putting the slide faces of two steel cores together, and by simultaneously manufacturing two steel-cored aluminum trolley wires by the extrusion process.
CONSTITUTION: The wide faces of the steel cores 2, 2, are put together as the slide faces 2a, 2a, and these two steel cores 2, 2, are pased together through the cross- head of the extruder so as to simultaneously extrude the electro-conductive layers 3, 3, comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy on the opposite wide faces of each steel cores 2, 2; hereby, two steel-cored aluminum trolley wires 1 are simultaneously manufactured. After that, these two steel-cored aluminum trolley wires 1, 1, are separated and are respectively coiled. When manufacturing according to this method, the flow of aluminum or aluminum alloy becomes uniform, and the extrusion work can be performed locating the steel cores 2, 2, at the center.
