Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [A is a group shown by the formula II (Y is H, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.), etc.; R1 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is alkyl, or forms alkylene with R1; R3 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen].
EXAMPLE: 2,2-Dimethyl-4-(2-oxo-2H-pyrido-1-yl)oxy-2H-1,3-benzoxazine.
USE: An anti-inflammatory agent.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula III is reacted with a pyridine-N-oxide derivative shown by the formula IV (R4 is H, alkyl, or aralkyl) or V in a solvent, e.g., methylene chlorode, etc. at 30W100°C to give a compound shown by the formula I. Equimolar or double molar amount based on the compound shown by the formula III compound shown by the formula IV or V, or equimolar amount base (e.g., triethylamine, etc.) is preferably used.
