Abstract

PURPOSE: To make die exchanging rapid and easy and achieve the higher working efficiency of the device by holding a work contact member slidably in the transfer direction to the turning member which is turnably pivotally fitted to an upper die and disposing a driving source which controls the above-mentioned turning member as specified and others to outside the die.

CONSTITUTION: The device is constituted by turnably pivotally fitting a turning member 33 to an upper die 21 within the plane orthogonal to the moving direction (perpendicular to the plane of the paper) of the work W, slidably holding a contact member 36 with the work W to one end of the member 33 in the work W transfer direction and installing a member, not illustrated, which defines the sliding end of the member 36, to the turning member 33. The work W is supported by the roller 55 in a lower die 22, is carried into the die, where it is contacted with the member 33 and is positioned at its sliding end. A photoelectric switch and driving source which are so controlled as to turn the member 33 to the position not interfering with the work W in response to light beam when the member 33 positions at its sliding end are provided outside the press die, whereby the plan for connecting and changing at the die exchanging is eliminated and the idle time with the die exchanging may be saved.
