Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the thermo-sensitive recording sheet which gives a developed color image of high density by making a thermo-sensitive layer and the like containing the fine powder of aluminum silicate together with the resin for binding. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or lightly-colored color-developing material such as leuco dye and an organic acid material such as resorcin, for instance, are crushed and dispersed in the water separately by means of a ball mill and the like. Next, the water-base liquid wherein the fine powder of aluminum silicate is dispersed and the water-base liquid of the resin for binding such as polyvinyl alcohol are added thereto and liquid for forming a thermo-sensitive layer is prepared. This liquid is applied, in a quantity of 3-9g/m<2> (dry weight), onto a supporting body such as paper and a plastic film to form the thermo-sensitive layer thereon, and thus the aimed thermo- sensitive recording sheet is obtained. In addition, a method wherein an intermediate layer, provided between the thermo-sensitive layer and the supporting body, is made to contain the fine powder of aluminum silicate together with the resin for binding is also applicable.
