Abstract
PURPOSE:To joint the electrode-plate lags and the strap of a lead storage battery easily by using a reduced amount of lead, by feeding current to them by means of a rolling electrode which shifts on the strap and subjecting them to the spot welding. CONSTITUTION:A given number of negative plates and positive plates are assembled to form a an assembled element. A strap 2, which is casted beforehand, is placed on lags 1 of the electrode plates. The lags 1 are equipped with a comb-teeth- like electrode 3, and besides, an insulating body 5 is interposed between the strap 3 and the electrode 3. The strap 2 is made in contact with a rolling electrode 4, which is rolled and shifted as current is fed between the electrode 3 and 4. Thus the lags 1 of the electrode plates and the strap 2 undergo continuous spot welding.
