Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a measurement of the rolling resistance for the under the load state, by providing a DC electric dynamometer also to the tire support frame and then attaching the tire-attaching wheel to the shaft of the electric dynamometer.
CONSTITUTION: The tire 11 to be tested is supported by the tire support frame 7 and fitted to the tire-attaching wheel 12 which is attached to one end of the rotating shaft 9a of the DC electric dynamometer 9 serving bath as the tire support axle. The dynamometer 9 is provided so that the shaft 9a may be turned to the lateral side to the freame 7. And the arm 9c extended from the rocking frame 9b toward back side is connected to the load detector 9c via the coupling tool 9d. Then the dynamometer 9 is actuated for the absorbing or driving purpose to secure a measurement for the rolling resistance of a tire which is under the load state.
