Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a beautiful facing material which does not cause cracking or peeling when the facing material is coated on a metal, etc., containing α,ω-dihydroxypoly(diorganosiloxane), an org. solvent, a pearl powder and a silicone compd. contg. a specified functional group as essential ingredients.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a facing material containing (A) 100pts.wt. of α,w-dihydroxypoly(diorganosiloxane) of formula I (wherein each R may be the same or a different group and is monovalent substd. or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group; n is a number determined by the required viscosity of the compd.) having a viscosity of 20W1,000,000cps, (B) 30W5,000pts.wt. of an org. solvent, (C) 5W 100pts.wt. of a pearl powder and (D) 0.1W30pts.wt. of a silicone compd. contg. at least two functional group per molecule as essential ingredients, said functional group being bonded to the silicon atom and selected from substd. or unsubstituted alkoxy, dialkylketoxime and dialkylaminoxy.
