Abstract

PURPOSE:To make replenishing of the toner easy by providing a cartridge which is closed at both ends, has an opening on the side face and contains the toner therein, and a cartridge containing part which can contain this turnably and has an opening corresponding to the opening of the cartridge in a predetermined position. CONSTITUTION:A toner cartridge 1 is closed at both ends, and has an opening 2 at the side face, which opening 2 is held sealed by a filmlike sealing material 4 in the state that the toner is held packed in said cartridge. The coupling pins 11a, 11b of a turning member 9 are inserted into the coupling holes 5a, 5b of the cartridge, and by holding the cartridge with hand in such a manner that the opening 2 faces upward, the sealing material 4 is stripped and the cartridge 1 is inserted into the cylindrical member 6a of a cartridge containing part 6. In this case, if the pin 10 of the turning member 9 is led into a guide groove 8 and the member is rotated in the arrow direction until the pin 10 abuts on the end 8a of the guide groove 8, the toner falls downward by passing through the openings 2 and 7. Hence, the toner is easily replenished without scattering.
