Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, inexpensive facsimile equipment by reading bits of picture information at every time and performing logical processing of bits at every time. CONSTITUTION:Readout picture information for one main-scanning-directional line is divided by scanner 7 into groups of bits and converted, group by group, by S/P converter 4 in parallel and the output of it is inputted to and stored in mu-CPU1. Similarly, the next one-line picture information, when inputted, is taken out, group, and logically processed together with the previously logic-processed picture information, group by group, and the results are stored in random access memory RAM3. Thus, every time picture information on each line is obtained from scanner 7, logical processing is performed to extract two-line picture information as picture information on one line.
