Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the accuracy of detection for coordinate information, by respectively applying electric signal to give the coordinate information on the first and second resistance plates provided closely on the first and second pressure sensing conductive rubber sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The tablet 22 consists of the pressure sensing conductive rubber sheets 30, 31, plate electrode 32, resistance plate 33 to which the signal vx in frequency fx is given toward X axis, and resistance plate 34 to which the signal vy in frequency fy is given toward Y axis. When a pencil pressure is given to the tablet 22 with the input pen 23, the resistance of the depressed point of the sheets 30, 31 is decreased, and AC signal corresponding to the pressed position is picked up from the output terminal 24. Since two resistance plates 33, 34 are used, uniform potential distribution can be given to each resistance plate to increase the accuracy of detection.
