Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled eraser composition having the required hardness even if unvulcanized and capable of continuously forming pencil-type erasers using an extruder by compouding a styrene-butadiene resin, an ethylenevinyl acetate resin, and an ionomer resin.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture is composed of (i) 30W70wt% of a styrene-butadiene resin, (ii) 10W20wt% of an ethylene-vinyl acetate resin and/or an atactic PP, and (iii) 15W50wt% of an ionomer resin. As required, to 100pts.wt. of the above mixture are added (iv) less than 30pts.wt. of a plasticizer and (v) less than 240pts.wt. of a filler, and the mixture is mixed and melted in a mixer, etc. The mixture is then formed into a film using rolls and then into pellets by a granulating machine. The pellet type mixture is extruded by an extruder thereby to continuously provide an endless pencil-type eraser.
EFFECT: Excellent also in erasing performance.
