Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to efficiently separate precipitated sands from an accumulated layer formed on a bottom portion of an apparatus by washing treatment and obtain a condition for inproving insanitary working enviroment such as malodorant or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A slurry transport pipe 5 is connected to a lower most bottom level at a central portion of a precipitating basin 1 having an inclined bottom surface. To this precipitating basin 1, a sewage containing precipitated sands or the like is poured from an inlet 14 and separated into a sewage 2 and precipitated sands 3 within the precipitating basin. When precipitated sands are accumulated, a value 4 is opened to send the precipitated sands 3 and the sewage 2 to a cylone 6. The sewage is recirculated to the precipitating basin 1 through a pipe 13. On the other hand, the separated precipitated sands are stored in a hopper 7 for a predetermined period and, thereafter, washed by a precipitated sand washing machine 8 and discharged to a receiving vessel 11 through a chute 9.
