Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve cooling efficiency in case the direct cooling with a cooling fluid is difficult by a method wherein a cooling drum having flexible fins on the outer peripheral wall is inserted into the inside of a drum type body to be cooled and the point of a fin is made to contact with the surface to be cooled.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer peripheral face of a cooling drum consisting of an inner drum 1 and an outer drum 2, flexible fins 3 each of which has a longer diameter than that of an inner diameter of a pipe 4 to be cooled by δ are installed in multi-stages in a radiant state to the radius durection. This cooling drum is inserted into the inside of the pipe 4 to be cooled and a cooling material is made to flow between the inner drum 1 and the outer drum 2. With this, contact between the surface to be cooled and the fin approaches a favorable state because of flexibility of a fin itself, thus, resulting in a high heat transfer rate, as a result, even when direct cooling with a cooling fluid is difficult, cooling efficiency is improved.
