Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled film which sticks on a metal plate at an ordinary temperature and imparts durability suitable for carrying out deep drawing, by a method wherein two layers of self-adhesives composed of an upper layer and a lower layer are coated on a base film, each of said two layers being composed mainly of an acrylic copolymer and the glass transition point of the acrylic copolymer for the upper layer being lower than that of the copolymer for the lower layer.
CONSTITUTION: An upper layer has a thickness of 0.001W0.05mm and is composed of an acrylic copolymer having a glass transition point of -80W-40°C. A lower layer has a thickness of 0.001W0.05mm and is composed of a self-adhesive consisting mainly of an acrylic copolymer having a glass transition point of -40W0°C. There is provided a self-adhesive film for surface protection, in which two layers consisting of said upper layer and said lower layer are coated on a base film. By this constitution, the film can stick sufficiently even at a lower temperature by the self-adhesive having the lower glass transition point of the upper layer. The lower layer having the higher glass transition point can impart durability against deformation such as subsequent deep drawing.
