Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the erasing of the electric charge of black-color image parts readily by charging the regions opposing to both image parts on the photosensitive layer from the original having the black image part and color image part by use of a complementary color filter thence erasing the charge of the black-color image part by way of a charged particle flow control screen in an electrophotographic method.

CONSTITUTION: A photoconductive photosensitive layer 2 is evenly charged positive by a corona charger 4. The light images of an original 5 having e.g. a black color image part B and a red color image part R are irradiated to the photosensitive layer 2 by way of a cyan filter 6 which is in a complementary color relation with a red color, so that the positive charge is left only in the regions opposing to B and R. Next, a charged particle control screen 7 is evenly charged positive, after which the light images having passed through a red color filter are radiated to charge positive charge only in the B region. Said screen 7 is superposed on the foregoing photoelectric surface 2 and the charge of the B region is erased by way of a charged particle source 10. After the color copy images are made by red color toners, the black copy images are made by black color toners. Thereby, the charge of the black color image part may be readily erased.
