Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a toner to be fixed and transferred under a slight pressure without requiring large energy by enclosing the surface of a core substance based on a hydrophobic oily substance with hydrophilic silica fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrophobic oily substance 1 such as mineral oil, perfluoroalkyl ether having a 5W10C alkyl group, α-olefin oligomer, synthetic squalane, liq. polypropylene, hexene, silicone oil or vegetable oil and hydrophilic silica fine particles 3 of about 5W100mμ particle size are mixed in about 70:30W95:5wt. ratio with a mixing means such as a mixer. Thus, the titled toner composition is obtained in which the hydrophobic oily substance 1 is enclosed with hydrophilic silica fine particles 3. By covering the surface of said composition with fluororesin layer 4, the transferring and fixing effects can be further improved.
