Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a reproduced sound of broad frequency range by using a foaming acrylic plate as a core material, by sticking foil of a highly elastic material to both sides of it as surface materials to form a plate disphragm, and then by fixing a voice coil at the position of the nodal circle in symmetric mode on the reverse surface of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:While a foamed acrylic plate is used as core material 3, foil of a highly elastic material is stuck to both its surfaces as surface material (alpha) to constitute plane diaphragm 1. On the reverse surface of plane diaphragm 1, voice coil 4 is anchored with bobbin 12 interposed. Diameters of plate diaphragm 1 and voice coil 4 are d1 and d2 and diameter d2 is the diameter of the nodal circle in first-order symmetric mode of plane diaphragm 1. The circumfernce of plane diaphragm 1 is supported by frame 10 at edge 5 from above and below. Magnetic circuit 7 composed of magnetic yoke 8 and magnet 9 provides voice coil 4 with a DC magnetic field. Thus, a reproduced sound of broad frequency range and high quality can be obtained.
