Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the decorative panel having three-dimensional, elegant relief pattern and thus suited as building wall, ceiling or the like by a method wherein a decorative sheet having a desired decoration is laminated on a substrate and a screen printing is applied to its surface.
CONSTITUTION: The decorative sheet 1 having a desired decoration such as printed pattern 2 is laminated on the surface of the substrate 3. Such a process may be achieved by using a coating device such as a roll coater or flow coater to apply an adhesive 4 on the top surface of the substrate 3 or on the back surface of the decorative sheet 1, then using a laminator to bond the surface of the substrate 3 with the decorative sheet 1. Alternatively, a resin may be impregnated into the decorative sheet 1, followed by thermal compression using a press. On the surface of the laminated decorative sheet, screen or gravure printing is applied, using a transparent coating material so that a transparent and elevated pattern 6 is formed, providing the aesthetic decorative panel having the relief pattern. The transparent coating material may use either a frosted or colored transparent coating material.
