Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable transfer paper to be transferred surely without causing transfer defects by providing a destaticizing device on the side opposite to the toner image carrying surface of the transfer paper during conveying process and allowing the same to contact the transfer paper thereby removing the charge of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper sent from a paper feeder is transferred of toner images by a transfer electrode 3, and is separated from a photosensitive drum 1 by a separating means after this, thence it goes into a conveying process. The conveying process consists of endless belts 5 provided laterally symmetrically, rollers 8, 9, guide plates 6, etc. When the transfer paper is held charged, electrostatic attraction to the guide plates tends to occur, but since a destaticizing brush comprising conductive wires is provided in such a manner as to rub the entire back surface of the transfer paper conveyed to the side near the photosensitive drum in the conveying process, the electrostatic attraction of the transfer paper may be prevented and the transfer paper may be surely conveyed.
