Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize not only an easy setting of the oscillation frequency but a mechanical connection for the semiconductor direct oscillation element, by securing such constitution in that the oscillation frequency is decided by the resonance frequency of a dielectric resonator. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor direct oscillation element 3 is connected between the heat sink 2 and one end of the internal conductor 1 of the coaxial line. And the bias voltage is supplied to the dielectric substrate 5 set adjacently to the external conductor 4 of the coaxial line from the terminal 7 and through the LPF6 formed with the microstrip. At the same time, the dielectric resonator 8 is put on the surface of the substrate 5 to receive an electromagnetic coupling with the coaxial line through the coupling hole 9 provided to the conductor 4 and then furthermore with the microstrip line 10 formed on the surface of the substrate 5. The oscillation output is extracted through the terminal 11. As a result, the oscillation can be secured at the level near the resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator, thus ensuring the variation of the resonance frequency over a wide range. And the element 3 can be connected to the conductor 1 mechanically with no soldering.
