Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate retention of mud on a front surface of a crawler and a loss in a tractive force as well as to improve a turning performance by a method wherein inclined surfaces are provided on the sections of an outer peripheral surface of the crawler, whereon lags are not formed.
CONSTITUTION: Wing parts 16 of an inner peripheral surface are made at higher than a rotating wheel passing surface 17 while inclined surfaces P are formed from a central part to outer edges in a direction of a width on parts of an outer peripheral surface of a crawler, whereon lags are not formed, and end parts P' of the inclined surfaces are situated at positions substantially horizontal with the passing surface 17 of the rotating wheel. When the crawler is running on muddy fields, mud will not be retained on a front surface of the crawler and divided into left and right directions of the crawler by the inclined surfaces P and excluded from the surface, therefore, a propelling force may be obtained without loss at all times, while the inclined surface P diverts the resistance of the mud when the crawler is turned, therefore, a turning performance of the crawler may be improved.
