Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain catalyst reacting tower which consists in providing rugged parts for causing gas to flow zigzag in the unit platelike catalyst beds disposed in parallel with the flow of gas and which is free from rise in pressure loss owing to dusts and prevents the decrease in denitration efficiency. CONSTITUTION:At the time when the stack gas 1 flowing in the arrow direction is to be flowed upward among unit catalyst beds 12, turbulent flow is produced by the unevenness of these catalysts beds 2. Because of this, the contact time between the exhaust gas and the catalyst surface may be made longer as compared with simple laminar flow. The unevenness of the catalyst bed 12 surfaces of this case is good as far as it is for causing rurbulent flow in the gas flow. Since the catalyst beds 12 are disposed in parallel with the gas flow, they improve the contact between the catalyst surfaces and the gas by producing turbulent flow in the gas flow, thus the catalyst reacting tower of stable denitration rate may be provided.
