Abstract
PURPOSE: To monitor boiler tubes and determine their corrosion resistance by installing a sample heat pipe of the same material as that of the boiler tubes in a high temperature gas atmosphere in the gas introducing flue of the heat recovering device of a dust incinerator, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In the waste gas introducing flue 2 of a heat recovering device 1, a sample heat pipe 3 of the same material as that of boiler tubes and in which water or an organic thermal medium 4 such as Dowtherm, etc., is sealed is inserted so that its tip may reach the center of the flue 2.
