Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled asphalt sheet having excellent tensile bond strength against an adherend, by a method wherein straight asphalt, an SBR latex, dried sludge, dried oil-contg. sludge and a carbon-modified silicone are mixed together, and the mixt. is molded into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:Not more than 10wt% (based on the weight of dried sludge) of dried oil-contg. sludge and about 1wt% (based on the weight of the dried oil-contg. sludge) of a carbon-modified silicone (e.g. N-beta-aminoethyl-r-aminopropyl-methoxy silane), are blended with a mixt. of 42wt% of straight asphalt, 4.2wt% of an SBR latex and 53.8wt% of the dried sludge. The resulting blend is molded into a sheet.
