Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to accurately measure the moisture content rate of desired part without influenced by an unevenness of bark surface, by inserting the detector formed into a rod-shaped body into the hole provided in the wood and extended toward the inner part and then, measuring the variation of high frequency electric current varying in accordance with the moisture content.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a pair of high frequency induction electrodes 10, 11 are formed and each draw-out wires 12, 13 is attached thereto and also, is fixed at the state of isolating the electrode each other and moreover, the wires 12, 13 are hardened by the electric insulator made of resin. Thus constructed detecting apparatus 15 is provided on a wood 16 and is formed into rod-shaped body being capable of inserting into a hole 17 extending toward the inner part of the wood 16. Hereby, water content of desired part is accurately measured by measuring the varition of high frequency current varying in accordance with the water content rate in the wood and detecting the water content.
