Abstract

PURPOSE: To diversify the functions by providing the probe with a specific structure which can be moved with respect to the main body of te measuring machine.
CONSTITUTION: The main body of the sensing probe 7 is provided with a fixed point sensing means comprising a magnetism generating body and a magnetic sensor. A measuring point 19, which is to be contacted with the material to be measured 18, is pivoted to the sensing probe 7 so that the measuring point 19 can be freely stopped at an arbitrary position in a specified movable range. The sensing probe 7 is attached to a slider 4 which is slidably installed on a supporting pole 3 by a clamping screw 6. When the measuring point 19 of the sensing probe 7 is moved up and down by a direction changing lever, the distance l1 between the wall surfaces 18a and 18b of the material to be measured 18 having a channel can be measured at a constant measuring pressure. When the direction changing lever is placed at the central position, the measuring point 19 is stopped at an arbitrary pivoting position in a specified range, thereby the distance l2 between the wall surfaces 18a and 18c can be measured.
