Abstract

An automatic gap adjuster has a contracted position restricting strut 8 between the shoes 2a, 2b. An adjusting lever 27, a parking lever 36 and a thrusting lever 33 engaged with one end of a return spring 35 are pivoted or coupled to pivot 22 provided on the shoe 2a. Since an engage-thrusting force for the adjusting wheel of the lever 27 in nonbraking is kept constant, the adjustment of a gap can be stably performed.
