Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to simultaneously record an optical image and a magnetic image, by using the recording mediums of 2 layers consisting of a magnetic substance layer and a conductive substance layer, on the conductive substrate, providing an electric signal to the write magnetic head, and also irradiating the optical image from the exposure device.
CONSTITUTION: The recording drum 4 is a cylindrical rotary drum, and the recording mediums of 2 layers, that is, a magnetic substance layer 2 and a photoconductive substance layer 3 are provided on its surface. The recording drum 4 rotates to the left, develops the magnetic record during the first half-rotation, and develops the electrostatic record during the latter half-rotation. Accordingly, while the recording drum 4 is making one rotation, different records can be developed to the recording mediums of 2 layers. According to said constitution, when two different records are processed to one recording medium, it requires a series of processes of development-fixing-development-fixing, but an optical image and a magnetic image can be recorded simultaneously by only the processes of development and fixing.
