Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a waiting time until a recording image starts and to record the image quickly without deteriorating the quality of recorded images by applying a voltage on the conveyance of a recording medium and an electrode in response to the moving speed of a movable magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic toner 7 as a conductive developer, which lies on the outer periphery of a nonmagnetic cylinder 7, is conveyed owing to the magnetic field of a rotary magnet 8 (movable magnetic pole) as a movable magnetic pole. At that time, a voltage in response to graphic information is impressed between recording electrodes 9 densely arrayed along an axis on the nonmagnetic cylinder 6 and the conductive layer 1b of a sheet 1, and the toner 7 is electrostatically stuck to the insulating layer 1a of the sheet 1 to record images. Here a voltage is impressed on the conveyance of the sheet 1 and the electrodes 9 in accordance with the rotating speed of the rotary magnet 8. Thus the waiting time until recording images starts can be eliminated, and images can be recorded speedily without deteriorating their quality.
