Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the dehydration efficiency in transportation of slurrized coal by classifying crushed coal by particle size, where pulverized coal is pelletized, and by transporting upon slurrizing them altogether.
CONSTITUTION: The coal 1 conveyed from a mine by a belt conveyor 2 is crushed by a cage mill 5 and further undergoes wet crushing in a rod mill 7. The crushed coal discharged from the rod mill 7 is sent to a cyclone separator 11 and grouped into coarse particles and pulverized coal. The coarse particles are sent by a pump 12 to a slurry regulating tank 27 while the pulverized coal is sent by another pump 13 to a pelletizer 14. The powder which is converted into the form of pellets is sent by a conveyor 26 to the slurry regulating tank 27 also. The coarse particle and pelletized coal are mixed and agitated in this tank 27 and converted into a stabilized slurry to be sent forward to the pipeline by a booster pump 29.
