EXAMPLE: 1-Methyl-5-n-nonylpyrazole-3-carboxylic acid.
USE: A medicine having improved antilipemic action with low toxicity.
PROCESS: An enolate sodium salt of formula II and a monosubstituted hydrazine sulfate of formula III (m is 1 when R2 is methyl, and 2 when R2 is phenyl) are dissolved in purified water or methanol, and the solution is heated in aqueous solution of NaOH for 1W2hr to give the compound of formula I.
