Abstract
PURPOSE: An aqueous solution of a water-soluble high polymer is emulsified in a specific organic solvent so as to form fine spherular particles and the emulsion is poured into methanol or the like to transfer the aqueous solution particles from the organic medium layer into the alcohol layer and to dehydrate the particles simultaneously, thus producing the titled fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution of a high polymer that is soluble in water but insoluble in methanol or ethanol and is 2W50% in concentration such as gelatin solution is emulsified in an organic solvent that is inmiscible or hard miscible with water and inmiscible with methanol or ethanol such as β-phellaudrene so that the aqueous solution of the water-soluble high polymer is made into fine spherular particles of 0.2W30μ particle sizes. Then, the emulsion is poured into methanol or ethanol to transfer the fine particles into the methanol or ethanol layer and to dehydrate simultaneously, thus giving fine spherular particles of the water-soluble high polymer. When needed, the fine particles are filtered and dried to a powder or made water-insoluble by treating with a curing agent.
