Abstract
PURPOSE: To protect a briquet surface from impact and friction and to inhibit the formation of a coal powder, by coating the briquet surface with a composition comprising a short combustible fiber and an adherent material.
CONSTITUTION: A colloidally dissolbed material (a composition) is formed by compounding an aqueous solution of an adherent material such as a paste, with a short combustible fiber about 3W6mm in length. Coat 2 comprising the short fibers irregularly bonded with each other, by use of the adherent material, is formed on the entire surface of briquet body 1, by heating the briguet body 1 molded into a desired form to a high temperature, adhering said dissolved material to the entire surface thereof, and drying it.
