Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent sticking of tar to a vaporizing section of a liquid fuel combusting apparatus, by dripping liquid fuel to a position located at one end of an annular vaporizing chamber, causing film boiling of the liquid fuel by heating the temperature on the internal surface of the vaporizing chamber, and ejecting mixture gas in an annular form from the vaporizing chamber.

CONSTITUTION: When the surface of a vaporizing section 24 is heated to the film boiling temperature region (about 220°CW350°C) by a sheathed heated connected to an electric power source, fuel supply from a fuel supply pipe 21 is started and a motor 4 is set into operation. Fuel dripped downward from the fuel supply pipe 21 is splashed and vaporized, and then carried toward an opening 20 along with primary-air flow from an opening 18, so that the vaporized fuel is mixed with primary-air. The mixture of fuel and primary air is carried from one side of a partition wall 17 extended across the vaporizing section 24 toward opening 20 on the other side of the partition wall 17. Then, the air-fuel mixture is introduced into a mixing chamber 15, in which its pressure is equalized by a pressure equalizing plate 26, and issued to the outside from a flame forming plate 27. When the mixture is ignited, it is combusted together with secondary air supplied from secondary- air supply passages 12, 12'.
