Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower power consumption of a cooling system, by employing an arrangement capable of carrying out cooling operation only at a cooling column in winter by-passing a refrigerator.
CONSTITUTION: By a pump 2, cold water is supplied from a cold-water tank 1 to an air conditioner 3 and returned as hot water to a hot-water tank 7. Hot water in the hot-water tank 7, on the oher hand, is carried to a refrigerator 9 via a pipe 14 and a selector valve 20 by means of a pump 8 and returned as cold water to cold- water tank 1 via a selector valve 21 and a pipe 15. These selector valves 20, 21 are connected via by-pass pipes 18, 19 respectively to pipes 16, 17 which are extended from refrigerator 9 to a cooling column 10. Here, the selector valves 20, 21 and an operation switch 22 of refrigerator 9 are interlocked to each other to stop operation of refrigerator 9 in winter by sending water directly to the cooling column 10 by by-passing the refrigerator 9.
