Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently transport solid substances without any injuries by a method wherein a porous plate capable of passing water only is provided in a closed tank of the device for transporting solid substances such as fishes etc. together with water in order to divide into a water chamber and a solid substance chamber and a water pump is connected with the water chamber and so on.
CONSTITUTION: When solid substances, for example, fishes are transported with water, first, the pressure in a closed tank 1 is decreased by a vacuum pump 4 to absorb fish and water into a tank 1. Then, a water pump 10 connected to a water chamber 7 is rotated normally to absorb the water in the tank 1 and discharge it into a tank 2. In this case, the fish in the tank 1 is prevented by a porous plate 6 from flowing into the tank 2. When the density of fish is high, a bour-way valve 3 is changed over and at the same time the water pump 10 is reversed to transport the fish in the tank 1 into the tank 2. The compressed air by a compressor 5 is pressed into the tank 2 through the four-way valve 3 to discharge the water through a nonreturn valve 15, a discharge pipe 16.
