Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep dewatering efficiency at high level and make possible to discharge residual cake securely by making a dewatering device in a separable closed construction of a flat hollow shape from which the residual cake falls off with its own weight.
CONSTITUTION: Sanitary waste is supplied to a tank 19 by a pump 23 and next compressed air is supplied to the tank 19 to transfer the sanitary waste to a dewatering device 1. Then the sanitary waste is filtered by the filter cloth 16 and filtered water is discharged to a chute 20 through a discharge pipe 11 after reached grooves 14. When the flow rate of sanitary waste to the dewatering device 1 is decreased to a degree less than a specified value by the resistance of the filter layer of the residual cake formed on the inner surface of the filter cloth 16, a detector 26 shuts a stop valve 27 to stop supplying sanitary waste and operates an air cylinder to swing-open the dewatering device 1, then the residual cake falls on a conveyer 12 with its own weight. After that, the dewatering device 1 is closed again forming the closed construction and the supply of sanitary waste is started again.
