Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is alkenyl or alkoxyalkyl; R2 is lower alkyl; R3 is lower alkyl or lower alkenyl).
EXAMPLE: 2-( 1-Ethoxyaminobutylidene )-5-propenylcyclohexane-1,3-dione.
USE: A herbicide having a superior herbicidal effect on a gramineous weed, e.g. Alopecurus aequalis, Sobol. var, amurensis OHWl, digitaria adscendens HENR. or Avena satival. and little harm to a broadleaf plant, e.g. an adzuki bean, soybean, radish, beet, or cucumber.
PROCESS: A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a lower alkoxy- or alkenyloxyamine, to give the compound expressed by formula I.
