Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable efficient multijob processing by eliminating a waste of programs, WAIT circuits, or the like by obtaining a basic clock for low-speed CPU by frequency-dividing a basic clock sent to high-speed CPU.
CONSTITUTION: A high-speed clock is outputted from oscillator 11 and high-speed CPU12 operates synchronizing with this high-speed clock to control high-speed system 15. The clock from oscillator 11 is frequency-divided by frequency divider 13 to obtain a low-speed clock and low-speed CPU14 operates synchronizing with this low-speed clock to control low-speed system 16. Common system 17 is shared between high-speed CPU12 and low-speed CPU14; while high-speed CPU12 uses it, low-speed CPU14 is completely inhibited from using it, but while low-speed CPU14 is using it, high-speed CPU12 is permitted to use it in partial idle time.
