Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve safety by interlocking a forward-backward pivoting regulating member with operating levers for hinge and lifting and lowering load boxes to restrain the operation of the operating lever for lifting and lowering the rear body when the operating lever for the hinge is imperfectly operated.
CONSTITUTION: When a rear body is damped in a desired direction, operating levers 15, 15' for hinge are first suitably operated forward and backward to engage and disengage a desired hinge portion. Next, an operating lever 17 for lifting and lowering rear body is changed over to the upper position. When the levers 15, 15' are then not changed over to a proper position, but to the position shown by the solid line in the drawing, an engaging pin 31 engages the ends of stoppers 22, 22' while the end of an engaging arm 32 is located in front of them. When the lever 17 is then operated to the upper position, it engages an engaging arm 32 to stop its movement. On the other hand, when both levers 15, 15' are properly operated, the engaging pin 31 and arm 32 can pivot to the position shown by the chain line to permit the operation of the lever 17.
