Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of a tape recorder, by securing the four actions of the forward reproduction, reverse reproduction, quick winding and rewinding each through the two operations of the forward/reverse switching and the advance/retreat switching of the head substrate.
CONSTITUTION: During the forward reproduction, the head substrate 3 advances to have the 1st pinch roller 6 press-contacted with the 1st capstan 4. The idlers 15 and 16 connect the 1st drive gear 10 to the gear 17 of the forward take-up reel drive disk 18. During the reverse reproduction, the idler plate 13 turns around the shaft 14 with the left shift of the tape travelling direction change-over lever 21. The pinch roller levers 22 and 23 move via the slope parts 21a and 21b. During the quick winding, the projected bars 3a and 3b of the substrate 3 kick the bearing parts 13a and 13b of the plate 13 by a retreat of the substrate 3 to cancel the engagement between the reel drive disk gears 17/20 and the idlers 15/16. As a result, a free movement is secured for the levers 24 and 25 which support the quick winding idles 26 and 27.
