Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure an inter-music detection regardless of each mode of reproduction, rewinding, quick winding and pause, by detecting the nonsignal part on a recording tape in correspondence to not the time but the length of tape and then obtaining the inter-music detection signal.
CONSTITUTION: The pulses generated from the pulse generators 1 and 2 by the rotation of the reel drive disks 10 and 11 are supplied to the counters 5 and 6 through the waveform shaping circuits 3 and 4, and then applied to the adder 7. Then the output is delivered when the number of pulses reaches a fixed value or more. The signals on the recording tape are supplied to the clear terminals of the counters 5 and 6 via the reproducing head, equalizer amplifier 8 and level detector 12 each. Thus the counters 5 and 6 start counting when the reproduction output does not exist any more. Then the output is delivered from the adder 7 when the number of pulses reaches a fixed value or more. And the pulse of inter-music detection is delivered from the waveform processing circuit 9. At the same time, the counters 5 and 6 are reset by the pulse of detection.
